Located just a 10-minute walk from Elvaston Castle Country Park, our Keldholme site is perfectly positioned for not only local children, but for parents working at or through Pride Park or the Derby town centre.

Nestled away just from the main Shardlow road in Alvaston, and a stones throw away from the A6 we offer an ideal environment for your little one to learn and flourish.

A little bit about us

Our community is based nursery is open planned for children to be able to learn and explore the activities and rich experiences planned throughout the day. We have a designated baby Owlets play space for for babies until they are confident enough for the main Owlets nursery. Indoor and outdoor experiences are planned linked to the children's developmental needs, and also the seasons.

We are fortune to have a small park located next door to us and lots of green space where we can go on little nature walks -spotting for butterflies and ladybirds, and listening to the birds in the trees.

Outdoor play is essential for children every day. It promotes physical health, boosts creativity, and enhances social skills. Spending time outside allows children to explore their environment and engage in play, which is crucial for their overall development.

Each session you will have a digital write up of your child's day with us at Little Owls on your child's individual Famly platform- so whether its yourself picking up or one of your named and approved people upon registration, you will be updated about your child's day, personal care and meals, any long term medication they may need throughout their session.

We are so fortune to have local experiences right on our door step including local parks, community walks and even Elvaston Castle.
